Art is fundamentally communication, and what I want to communicate is intrigue and curiosity. Abstraction is my primary vehicle: it reaches beyond the obvious—beyond the literal. A tree or leaf in my work is never depicted just to be recognized; realism (when it appears at all) is never the point.

Whatever I make has to come from a genuine place; I believe this authenticity can be felt. A piece of myself leaves with every work, and the space it occupied begins to fill with new ideas. Learn More
